About Biggi Family Project
Biggi Family Project, is a Uganda based Non-Governmental Organisation that offers a wide range of research, training and social transformation opportunities to less privileged communities across Uganda.
BIGGI Family Project (BFP) was conceived in 2002 with the passion of enabling communities to access nature friendly herbal medicine and healthier foods so that those who are chronically sick and those who want organic foods access it and live healthier lives.
Biggi has herbal outlets in strategic areas of Wakiso, Masaka, Kampala and Mbale districts; so that sick persons easily access natural medicines. All our products are approved by the Natural Chemotherapeutic Research Institute of the Republic of Uganda.
Who We Are
Biggi Family Project is committed to providing nourishing herbal medicines to vulnerable communities, particularly individuals living with chronic conditions such as arthritis, infertility (in both men and women), HIV/AIDS-related immunity challenges, and respiratory illnesses including pneumonia.
Many of our clients face overwhelming hospital bills that drain household income, deepen poverty, and lead to frequent absenteeism from work—often resulting in job loss. Our work seeks to ease this burden by offering accessible, natural health solutions that improve quality of life and restore dignity.
Beyond healthcare, we empower vulnerable individuals through skills training in nutritional medicine processing, small and medium income-generating activities, and zero-waste agriculture. We have also established a school that provides subsidized, quality education to children whose learning is disrupted due to their guardians’ ill health and financial strain.
Governance
BIGGI Family project is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for strategic direction and policy formulation. The Board is headed by the Chairperson who is elected at the Annual General Assembly. Board members serve for two terms and each term takes two years.
